Dear Friend,

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven…” Matthew 6:19-20

These words are truly the expression of my heart for you. The ministry of the Morgan Shepherd Charitable Fund to the less fortunate has been made possible, because of the kind and generous support received from folks like you.

We are currently preparing for the annual Morgan Shepherd Charitable Fund Trip to the Virginia Mountains. Each December we return to visit our friends at the Parc Workshop and other places in the Virginia Mountains. We are excited about returning to Galax and Stuart with a day full of activities and handing out gift bags. We expect a larger crowd than ever this year.

The Charity also raises funds to support the PARC Workshop, a private non-profit organization that provides handicapped adults job & daily living skills. The PARC Workshop does not receive government grants. They rely on the donation from the Charity to help up grade their facility and enhance their programs so they can continue to be self-sufficient. In addition, the Charity has donated a modular home to help teach daily independent living skills to the handicapped adults that work at the Workshop.

This charity trip has become a holiday tradition for my family, friends, and supporters. We have enjoyed the privilege of sharing the love, hope, and true meaning of Christmas with others. Jesus has given new hope and meaning to my life and I am humbled that God allows me to be used in His service to change the lives of others.

The Morgan Shepherd Charitable Fund Established 1986 as a program to assist the needy and handicapped in the Virginia Mountains. The Charity raises funds to support the PARC Workshop, an organization that provides handicapped adults job and daily living skills. Each year in December, the Morgan Shepherd Charitable Fund hosts a very special trip to the Virginia Mountains to share the true meaning of Christmas with the less fortunate. On this trip, gift bags, which contain donated items are given to the Parc Workshop, Southwestern Training Center for severely handicapped adults and low income families.
